    Hi all,

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue so wanted to check…

I am a real world pilot currently training in the PA38. I’ve noticed some odd behaviour with the JF MSFS version. When stationary on the ground the rudder peddles will not move. This is normal behaviour. However, in the real aircraft, you can roll forward gently at a VERY slow pace and as soon as you do, the nose wheel will steer. On Msfs, I have to move forward quite fast before the nose wheel is free to move. This makes taxiing very frustrating and unrealistic. I wanted to check in case it’s something in my settings. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

    Dazzy.

    Hi there,

Congratulations on an awesome product release! Plenty of hours in the tommy as both a student and an instructor, great to finally have one in the sim!

The aircraft handles well, however one issue I did encounter is the excessive nose down pitching moment when extending flap. In the real aircraft this is quite a subtle thing. It's even quite hard to demonstrate to a student as the aircraft will typically pitch nose up momentarily before subtly pitching nose down as speed decays.

Flying an approach in the Just Flight PA38 is unusual as the aircraft runs out of aft trim to fly an approach at 70kts, and even then it still wants to pitch down slightly.

For reference to the real aircraft, when trimmed for straight and level flight at 90kts, only 2 stokes of aft trim is required to trim aircraft for approach descent at 80kts. For our operation we then extend 1st stage flap on base which slows aircraft to 75kts, no trim required here to relieve control pressures. On final extend last stage of flap and drag from flap slows aircraft to 70kts, again no trim required here to relieve control pressures.

Hence flying an approach at 70kts and running out of trim doesn't make sense to the real aircraft.

Thanks for hearing me out, I'd be happy to discuss further if it helps in a fix!

    Cheers

@Thor_999 said in Buxton/Peak Forest Extension:

I've just bought the Buxton/Peak Forest extension. When i selected a quickdrive route from Tunstead Quarry to Leicester, there is a problem with the wagons that have been placed in the sidings at Tunstead. They block the tunnel mouth so that you cannot leave the sidings where you start this quickdrive journey.

Sounds like what I saw and mentioned up thread about the same starting point. I think you can delete the offending wagons via the editor as a workaround.
