Go for it!! These big companies can't treat their employees like dirt, then sack them when it suits them.

One thing not mentioned is that if they go back to work and accept their jobs back, they will be given new contracts and terms of employment.

This was a very sneaky move by the oil company. I noticed the company were also on TV last week saying "unless they return to work, they have no rights under EU law". To hell with EU law - this is the UK. Angry

Time we started telling these big multinationals to sling it.

Sacked worker Kenny Ward told the meeting: "Would Total do the same in France? Absolutely not, because there wouldn't be a tanker on its four wheels.

"They'd all be turned over on their sides, blockading every road to this refinery, because the French wouldn't put up with it - or the French government, or the German government, or the Spanish, the Italians and every other government in the European Union.

"But our government will. Our government will be subservient to companies like this. But we won't."

Absolutely!!!!!

You will probably remember Gordon Brown saying "British jobs for British people". Under EU law HE CAN NOT LEGALLY DO THIS! These are the most useless words ever. If he did try to do this - he'd be in trouble big-time with Europe.

Under EU law, we can NOT prevent workers from ANYWHERE in the EU applying for jobs here. WE CAN *NOT* LEGALLY DO IT.

We need to get rid of Europe to fix this.

Best regards,
Vulcan.
