Hi All!

Haven't posted here for ages so just thought I'd show my face and say a big hello! Big smile

As it's Valentines day the week after next, I've splashed out and am taking my lovely girlfriend to Venice for a few days Smile Will be interesting since she doesn't like planes.. Tongue

We're flying from Gatwick with BA, just wondering what aircraft they operate nowadays - last time I did anything short haul with BA from LGW it was a 737 but these are knocking on a bit now and I heard they have a growing fleet of A319/320s from the BMI acquisition based there?

Flying back into LCY so I assume this'll be one of the sexy new E170s?

Big smile
Kind regards,
Tom

Hi Tom,

After checking FlightAware BA mostly use 737-400's but they have very occasionally used A319's and A320's.  Have a great time in Venice.

Regards,
M

Well it was an A320! G-MEDK, one of the ex-BMI birds. Obviously been very recently refitted for BAs requirements so much nicer inside than the tatty 737s. The E170 on the return (G-LCYF) was very nice too.
Kind regards,
Tom
