I´m not photographer (But i like) and you´re right about exposure. I insert via Photoshop (Image->Adjustments->Exposure); Photomatix is a HDR image generator, and for this is necessary 3 images with differents exposures. Ex: -2, 0, 2 - The results are very cool !!!
