Evening,
Had the PA28 Arrow III in X plane 11 v11.10 for a week or so now and I am very impressed and pleased with the quality. V1.5.1 installed with no snags. Realism is close to the mark, (had about 10 hours tuition in a warrior II a few years back).....very immersive and my go to plane when not using the FF A320 ultimate.

One note....there are multiple posts on the x plane.org forum regarding aircraft performance on flare at 60 knots or less...it seems to loose any ground effect resulting in a severe landing every time.

Is this a recognised problem?

Yours Aye

JazzBassman.

Dan (danklaue) and Joe (NoJoe) from Thranda are very active on the XP.org forum thread and are explaining the situation in depth -  http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/139803-warrior-ii-landing-problem/" rel="nofollow - http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/139803-warrior-ii-landing-problem/

Trouble is the forum in the link above is dead. I’m also experiencing this sinking effect under 60 knots, kind of makes the plane impossible to land. So is it a laminar bug and if so is there a workaround?

Must have been a temporary error, or limited to your region. The link works for me right now.

It shouldn't be impossible to land by any means, but this is a current limitation of the simulator that we are waiting for Laminar to address.

personally I think this is a JF issue , I am seeing what is descibed in P3D v4.2. see my post on heavy nose on landing for Arrow.

as stated earlier great plane but landing is not so good.

btw  just re reading this topic, if you land an Arrow at less than 60 kts you are very close to a stall even with flaps, so a heavy plane like the Arrow would drop out of the sky.

Two entirely different teams are responsible for the flight dynamics in FSX/P3D and XP11.

This issue is being worked on but is dependant on updates from Laminar.
