A single thread to collect available repaints seems a good idea and worked well for the F27 - thanks Bart.

So if you've done a repaint, or find one out there for the JF HS-748 please post in this thread with a link and pic if possible.

Mt Cook Airline

A later version of the Mt Cook livery for ZK-DES. This was from the late 80's into the early 90's and was the last Mt Cook livery worn by the 748.

VARIG Brasil HS-748 PP-VDR

This classic livery was used by VARIG for over 40 years.
And thanks Midnight Music for requesting it, I learnt a lot researching it.

FIJI AIRWAYS HS-748 VQ-FAL

Fiji Airways, later named Air Pacific that then became Fiji Airways again. This from the Fiji Airways of the 60's. A relatively simple livery but some interesting flights, internationally the 748s flew all round the South Pacific Tonga Samoa etc .... or just a mid afternoon half hour flight from Nadi to Suva (Nasouri) through the very regular afternoon thunderstorms -(I don't remember a rougher flight in my life.)

Indian Airlines Hindustan HAL-748  VT-DXN

Hindustan produced the HS-748 under license in India. Seventeen were built for Indian Airlines and 72 for the Indian Air Force.
This one is depicted somewhat grubby, towards the end of it's career and serving as a cargo hauler during the late 80's.

Wasaya Airways HS-748  C-FFFS

The significant thing about this paint is that the subject and her 2 sisters make up the biggest fleet of still active HS-748s.
C-FFFS is a dedicated freighter, windows have been totally removed and I've painted the  large cargo door (not functional obviously) that's a feature of the aircraft to the rear left fuse.

A fictional repaint to fly around the desert airports of the U.S. and northern Mexico in. Download includes modes for the .cfg file to add various weights to seat rows and cargo area's based on an HS-748 Flight Operations Manual as well as some changes to get the proper nose down attitude the aircraft has during approach. Enjoy!

Edit: Now v2 compatible. Tested in Prepar3D v4 only. Should work in earlier versions and FSX.

LOL, you're not the first to mention "creepy woman" at 1A. Everywhere you move it looks like she's looking at you.

Thanks for the kind comments. The butterfly was a real challenge to do but it was worth it. I also added the flap indicator settings to the top of the flaps, but whomever did the paints used the left wing top texture for both left and right flaps so the numbers are backwards on the right wing flap segment. It's kinda too bad that the panels on the right wing texture sheet were never used. I also found some nasty issues around the wing fillet. It's great if the fillet and wing are the same color, but if they're not, be ready for a headache. There's no solution other than to carry the color out on to the wing root as I did. Lot's of little bugs for sure, LOL.

Nice job on the Cascade and Air Illinois. It bothered me that there were no US repaints, hence my Desert Skies variant. I love to fly around the desert and it looked rather strange with English or Canadian liveries!

Cheers,
Thad

Would any talented painters out there be able to do the early RAF Transport Command white / grey livery and the later all grey livery on XS789. A Queens Flight livery would also be most welcome.

Hi Matt,

You have some wonderful repaints there. I bought the HS748 in the sale the other day, installed a few nice repaints from yourself and others and now have to wait for them to be done all over again, how frustrating that must be for you..............Where is the best place to find out when you have managed to update any of your repaints?

Best regards.

David Phillips.

I have downloaded the two RAN HS748 repaints but the fuselages are black. Everything else looks perfect. Has anyone else had this problem?

Posted By: stretch1365
Date Posted: 30 Apr 2017 at 2:34pm
Hi youngharry,

You may have found an answer to your question already, in which case ignore this comment.

If you just updated the HS748 with the new update or bought your HS748 very recently then there was some changes in the update which caused all the old repaints not to work any more, which showed the results you observed. You need to ensure you download new repaints as and when the repainter updates them. A pain I know, but nothing we can do about that.

Regards,

David Phillips.

Can someone do a repaint of Leeward Island Air Transport (LIAT)

Posted By: High Iron
Date Posted: 12 Nov 2017 at 10:18pm
I have updated my two liveries to now be compatible with the new HS 748 v2 release.
Files have been uploaded to the various sites. Some may still be awaiting vetting before being available, so if it's not showing up at your favorite site, just keep checking periodically. The new files can be identified with the "v2" included in the title and the filename.

Note: Changes are showing up at the SOH file library, but I'm still seeing the old file names. I'm not sure if these are the new files or not and they just reused the old file name. I have contacted them to get clarification on this and fix if necessary. I they are still the old ones, please be patient. I'll remove this note when I have clarification. If you have downloaded them and they work with no issues, let me know here. You may be faster than their webmaster.

Thank you for your interest in these liveries. They took a lot of work to not just work (easy), but look right (hard) as even the *quick fix* still created some anomalies with the new changes. Anomalies that I even found on the default "corrected" textures provided by JF. Wink

Cheers,
Thad

Thank you for updating your repaints, they are excellent. The weight and balance .cfg entries you included really improve this aircraft.

Your repaints are the only two I could find that have been updated to V2 compatibility, I hope others painters will find the time to update theirs, especially a couple of Canadian variants I really enjoyed.

Cheers :)
