I was making an ILS approach to Frankfurt (EDDF) runway 25R (freq=109.50, id=IFNW), when suddenly on the glideslope it switched to a different ILS signal id=IABC, causing  the plane to go off course.

Clicking around on the map, I found IABC is assigned to runway 10 at nearby ETID (Hanau AAF). So I went to <FSX>\JustFlight\TrafficX\AirportFacilities\Scenery and renamed the .bgl files for both EDDF & ETID to xxxx.bgl_not, so that FSX would pick up the default definitions for these airports instead. On restarting FSX, I found EDDF still had 109.50 for 25R, while ETID now has no ILS at all.

So I have re-instated the TrafficX version of EDDF, but left ETID renamed out of the way.

Hope that is helpful to anyone else suffering the same problem.

Paul

I don't fly in that area, so it probably won't affect me directly.  However, thanks for sharing!  It's great information to share because the issue you describe may not just occur in the Frankfurt area and the method you describe could be of benefit elsewhere in the FSX world as well.
