 Are there different textures for different seasons? Also, what's the load time for starting a flight in that area?

Yes, there are different textures for different seasons, the winter texture is amazing here are a few pics of a winter in Switzerland:
 
 
As for the load times, it is VERY fast, a lot quicker than the default scenery.

Amazing (about the load times). They must have changed the technology for that kind of thing.

It does take a long time to install, about 1.5 hours!  More that FSX.
