Hello, Just wondering I've tried using the INS but always failed
Do you not just enter waypoints, activate them(as such) and then click the INS button on the Autopliot, as well as having correct freq's etc ?

Not sure which Concorde model you have but both work pretty much the same. Before entering waypoints the INS system has to be aligned to your current position. With the mode selector (should be on the engineer's start panel) in standby, move the mode selector on the INS system to position and then enter the lat long coordinates of your position, then move the selector on the engineer's start panel to align. You cannot move the aircraft whilst aligning is taking place which usually takes about 10 minutes. Then you can move the selector to NAV when the Ready For Nav lights illuminate on the engineer's panel. Then you can enter the positions of the waypoints and once airborne you can engage INS on the autopilot (as long as the RAD INS switch is in INS).
