Hiya,

I have FS2004 on my pc, which has ALOT of addons, also i use AI aardvark traffic too, now i have the ATI Radeon X1600 graphics card, but ive noticed recently that my sim is slowing down, becoming jumpy and also when flying into addon airports even slower. Do i need a higher performance 3D card? Memory on my pc is 1024MB

Usually its the Processor that is struggling to keep up. Open up your task manager whilst using FS2004 and see what your processor usage is

If you've noticed 'recently' that it's slowing down, then it's not your hardware. I would suggest some basic maintenance. Clear out all unnecessary files, kill the spyware run anti-virus scan, use a low footprint AV like AVG, uninstall add-ons you don't use update all drivers and defrag your hard drive.

MartYn is correct, FSX and FS9 are CPU dependant, GPU does boost performance but the CPU is the king.

AVG for the win!
It's weird, I've found that better than payware scanners and it has not an affect on performanceSmile
