Hi, I use the Tornado in Prepar3dv4 and for me it is not possible to fly faster than 1,2 mach at an altitude of 30.000 feet with the wings folded back, no external loadout and max afterburner power. There must be something wrong with the flight model ? regards Dirk

No, There isn't anything wrong/far off with the flight model, The "Modification State" of this jet is one without the AICS Ramp Controller and the Intake Ramps inhibited therefore the aircraft is limited in its RTS to Mach 1.2/3 Depending on where you look (These numbers of Mach 2.2 that you may see floating around are more likely to apply to the ADV or maybe a very new, very shiny and very clean Ramps enabled IDS with favourable winds ;) ). The engines much past that point would be suffering from supersonic airflow into the compressors which they don't take too kindly too.

Roebuck has it spot on, not a lot more I can add to that! It was developed using the pilots' notes and many other reference sources, all were quite specific that 1.2M was the max, but with the right combination of events you could possibly sneak past that a touch with a particularly clean jet!
