Hi Tom,
Unfortunately we don't have a copy of the Reality XP GNS in order to check this. It might be worth checking on the Flight 1 and AVSIM forums to see if anyone has managed to mount that GNS in place of the Flight 1 GNS. Thanks

Yes it works. I spent 6 hours on it though. I use the ELITE avionics panel which makes a difference in my setup. Also I assigned keyboard assignments to all controls on both the rxp 430 and 530. I changed Window08 to Window08=Radio, so that I could use my double stack 430,530. ALOT to all this. I only turn on the rxp that is on my vc panel. Also in the rxp.ini it has to be setup. Window10,11 and 12 I used the setup as the realair aircraft has it. They are out of business for sad reasons. I used the Carenado C210 with the 430,530 for easy sizing. ALOT of variations can be done. SO MUCH can be changed. BUT a lot must be done. There are reasons for all the things I do. It would take pictures and a bit of time for instructions. RXP430 and 530 were around WAY before flight 1. I own the Flight1 750 and plan on buying there 650. NOW rxp has the 650 and 750 so this is getting a bit confusing. At first I thought Flight1 took over the rxp site. Looking at it briefly it does not appear that way. I have $100 dollars in the RXP garmin's not to mention the FLT and FLN and do not use anymore. I did not buy the unlimited RXP for $100 as I like setting up separate flight plans. In there manuals there is click spots to activate either the 430 or 530 if you have them. It appears as though you have only the 530. First you have to go to aircraft folder and use the SWITCH.exe to give the ABILITY for in flight drop down menu. Push once 430, push again 530. I READ THE MANUAL 5 TIMES. Also read your rxp manuals.VERY IMPORTANT the PANEL.CFG_2 is the one that is the GNS panel and the PANEL.CFG_1 is the GTN. I bought the BUNDLE package and made changes to all aircraft. BIGGY...the VC buttons are NON-FUNCIONING but using the pop-up is no biggy. I have two monitors and keep the units up on the 2nd at all times. Bert Pieke is a mastermind in FSX and has fixed this in other circumstances I believe. They use another plate. I think in the C90 carenado ?? I did this. THIS IS JUST AN OVERVIEW. Like I said 6 hours and a lot of testing. VERY IMPORTANT I am noticing a problem and working on it. To switch the VOR1 between VOC/GPS I use my ELITE avionics panel. I believe there manual says Scroll button on middle of one of the AP buttons. So far it has not worked but I must be doing something wrong. FINAL thoughts THIS AIRCRAFT IS AWESOME. I have ALL the A2a, Milviz B55 and Beaver. ALL the Alabeo and Carenado Aircraft and could write a 10 page review on this aircraft. I also flew in real life until 2004. I am staying back abit as I do not want to infringe on any legalities. I buy all my music, that kind of person.

Was just thinking about something else I wanted to share. COMPLETE WAAS approaches can be done with the stock gps100. TO EXPLAIN. With the rxpGNS 430 or 530 if an extra line is typed into the RXPGNS.INI-Notepad "LinkGPS=On". Example
[GNS430] AutoPilotMode=2 Radios=1 LinkCdiKey=Off AutoCdiMode=0 AutoApproach=Off LinkVor=1 LinkGPS=On LcdStyle=Off AutoWidth=500 AutoHeight=210 This is just apart of it to save space here LinkGPS=On is NOT there unless it is typed in. Now, makes everything in the flight plan show up on the StockFSX GPS500. Do a Plan on your rxpGNS then hit FLP on the stock gps500 which is Window00=GPS and the waypoints will be there. Since the Stock GSP500 is hooked to the G100 on the VC everything is there. It will fly the approach perfectly. Just do not select the GTN,or the GNS's. You will have stock radios, G100 and it is very authentic. I prefer this over every other configuration as I prefer general aviation, steam gauges and old radios. I could never afford a fancy setup in real life so this is more immersive to me. |

Made a Simple PANEL.CFG for the JF_PA28_ARROW for the rxpGNS430 and the rxpGNS530. In the version 2.1 which I just downloaded all the VC buttons on the VC rxp's work. In my panel I added a popup manifold and rpm qauge to put on my second monitor because it is so hard to see on the VC WITHOUT removing the yoke. But I did not include my alterations as other aircraft need to be owned to make these work.
THIS IS THE PANEL.CFG_2 IN THE PANEL FOLDER INSIDE THE AIRCRAFT. I OWN THE BUNDLE WITH ALL THREE AIRCRAFT AND I BELIEVE THEY ARE THE SAME. ALWAYS BACKUP FOLDER BEFORE ANY ALTERATIONS. // Just Flight PA28R - SP1 (Flight1 GNS configuration) [Window Titles] Window00=GPS Window01=KN62A (screen) Window02=Towbar Window03=Checklist Window04=Flight Computer Window05=Logbook Window06=Panel Selector Window07=Panel Selector Arrow Window08=Timer (screen) Window09=GPS 100 (screen) Window10=Reality XP GNS 430 WAAS - RXP_CONFIG_TOOL - DO NOT CHANGE Window11=Reality XP GNS 530 WAAS - RXP_CONFIG_TOOL - DO NOT CHANGE Window12=Reality XP DropStack Window13=Start Checklist [VIEWS] VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=2.000, 0.000, 0.000 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window00] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=456,378 position=8 visible=0 ident=50 window_size=0.5 gauge00=fs9gps!gps_500, 0,0 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window01] size_mm=865,172 window_size= 0.60, 0.20 position=7 visible=0 ident=800 no_luminous=1 zorder=1 gauge00=JF_PA28R!KN62A, 0,0,865,172 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window02] size_mm=285,133 window_size= 0.20, 0.20 position=7 visible=0 ident=1000 no_luminous=1 zorder=1 gauge00=JF_PA28R!Towbar, 0,0,285,133 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window03] size_mm=454,700 window_size= 0.25, 0.70 position=5 visible=0 ident=1200 no_luminous=1 zorder=15 type=special gauge00=JF_PA28R!Checklist, 0,0,454,700 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window04] size_mm=450,450 window_size= 0.25, 0.70 position=5 visible=0 ident=1400 no_luminous=1 zorder=15 gauge00=JF_PA28R!FlightComp, 0,0,450,450 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window05] size_mm=1280,449 visible=0 ident=1600 pixel_size=1280,449 gauge00=Logbook\JF_PA28R_Logbook!LogBook, 0,0,1280,449 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window06] size_mm=237,69 window_size= 0.16, 0.08 window_pos= 0.0, 0.02 position=0 visible=0 ident=2600 no_luminous=1 zorder=100 type=special gauge00=JF_PA28R!Panel_Selector, 0,0,237,69 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window07] size_mm=31,38 window_size= 0.025, 0.04 window_pos= 0.0, 0.02 position=0 visible=0 ident=2800 no_luminous=1 zorder=100 type=special gauge00=JF_PA28R!Panel_Selector_Arrow, 0,0,31,38 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window08] size_mm=256,90 //window_size= 0.60, 0.20 position=7 visible=0 ident=1234 no_luminous=1 zorder=1 gauge00=JF_PA28R!AstroTechTimer, 0,0,256,90 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window09] size_mm=347,95 window_size= 0.40, 0.17 position=7 visible=0 ident=1235 no_luminous=1 zorder=1 gauge00=JF_PA28R!GPS100, 0,0,347,95 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window10] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=950,687 ident=15531 visible=0 zorder=99 gauge00=rxpGNS!GNS530, 0,0,950,687 window_pos= 0.660, 0.260 window_size= 0.340, 0.420 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window11] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=950,392 ident=15431 visible=0 gauge00=rxpGNS!GNS430, 0,0,950,392 window_pos= 0.660, 0.740 window_size= 0.340, 0.260 zorder=99 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window12] position=2 window_size=0.050000,0.030000 visible=1 ident=15000 zorder=100 gauge00=rxpDrop!Stack,0,0,100,100 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Window13] size_mm=500,1000 window_size= 0.25, 0.90 position=7 visible=0 ident=1245 no_luminous=1 zorder=1 gauge00=JF_PA28R!StartChecklist, 0,0,500,1000 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Vcockpit01] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=512,512 visible=1 pixel_size=512,512 texture=$test gauge00=JF_PA28R!SystemWatch, 0,0,1024,1024 gauge01=jf_sound!jf_sound, 0,1,1,1 gauge02=JF_PA28R!JF_PA28R, 0,1,1,1 gauge03=JF_PA28R!JF_PA28R_INT, 0,1,1,1 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Vcockpit02] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=512,512 visible=1 pixel_size=512,512 texture=$KN62 gauge00=JF_PA28R!KN62A, 0,0,421,88 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Vcockpit03] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=512,512 visible=1 pixel_size=512,512 texture=$GPS100 gauge00=JF_PA28R!GPS100, 0,0,347,95 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Vcockpit04] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=256,256 visible=1 pixel_size=256,256 texture=$Yoke gauge00=JF_PA28R!AstroTechTimer, 0,0,256,90 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Vcockpit05] size_mm=1024,1024 pixel_size=1024,1024 texture=$GNS530 background_color=0,0,0 gauge00=rxpGNS!GNS530, 0,0,950,687 gauge01=JF_PA28R!GNS, 1,1,1,1 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Vcockpit06] size_mm=1024,1024 pixel_size=1024,1024 texture=$GNS430 background_color=0,0,0 gauge00=rxpGNS!GNS430, 0,0,950,392 //-------------------------------------------------------- [Default View] X=0 Y=0 SIZE_X=8192 SIZE_Y=3500 [Color] Day=255,255,255 Night=255,255,255 Luminous=201,64,64 |
