Modified VC views - the settings to test.

Please don't try this if you're unhappy editing files, and please don't expect JF to help you out if this gets messed up.

 

Go to FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_Douglas_DC8-42 and save a copy of your aircraft.cfg to your desktop (or anywhere else) for safe-keeping.

 

Next, open the original one in your FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_Douglas_DC8-42 folder and near the end of the file you'll see this line

eyepoint=53.7,-2.0,4.8

 

change the last digit from 8 to 9 so it reads like this

Next find the following section near the top of the file and delete it

If it all goes wrong, just put the original file that you put somewhere safe back in the folder.

 

 

 

 

Now I don't think anyone familiar with modifying an aircraft cfg file will have any problem with this, but at the beginning of your post above this could be slightly confusing:

 

 "Next, open the one in your E:\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\JF_Douglas_DC8-12 folder and near the end of the file you'll see this line"

 

because many will have it all on their C drive, and the config file they want is still the same one in the DC8-42 folder, not the DC8-12.

... so a minor edit perhaps?

... and from somewhere else, no I can't get a decimal figure change on either of the ADF selectors.
