Hi All,

Just joined this forum hoping to grab a little advise. I've been building my own PC's for quite a while but they have all been gaming rigs, never a dedicated flight sim rig. There is one thing that I am hoping to get some input on and that is the electrical requirements. I will be running one heavy duty PC, the specs TBD, plus multi-monitors. As for the amount of monitors, let's just say, a lot. I have been toying with the idea of as many as 5-7 monitors for the system, and I am concerned about the power draw. It won't be a big issue setting up a new circuit, as the cockpit will be approx 30' away form my breaker panel, but if I can avoid the cost of an electrician, I would like that. So are there any sim builders out there that run a lot of monitors on just a 15A-20A service? Or should I look into a good 30A dedicated for my cockpit? Thanks in advance.

What are you planning to rune multiple heaters. I have a 800W PSU in my pc, even on full load doesnt draw more than around 220W. each LCD monitor is arond 30 - 40 watts, even with 5 monitors it should be fine on the standard 10A GPO.

Where do you reside? US by any chance?

Here in the UK, we have 13 Amp ring main circuits, each ring protected by a 32 Amp MCB. So no issue here.

However, in the US [if you are from there] I believe you have radial circuits, so I wouldn't like to comment.

Would be best if you confirmed your location, so that those familiar with your country's electrical requirements/regulations could comment.
