Very touching words Dave, your dad sounded like a great guy and father.

Thinking of you and your family at this sad time.

Kindest regards,
Mark.

My deepest Sympathis Dave, I know how you must be feeling as we lost my Mum to cancer in March last year. The pain is still very intense even now. I'd like to say it gets easier, maybe it does, but the little things will always be there to trigger the thoughts of a life now lost. Your Dad will always be in your heart, the same as my Mum is in mine. sometimes something will happen that will remind you, a song, a movie, something trivial, But to you it means your Dad. It's ok to cry, never hold it back. you need that release of emotion. Don't bottle your feelings up, It doesn't work. I've tried it and the release was even stronger. It will be hard to try and think what's normal, but try you must. There will always be the "what ifs" the "If only i'd...." etc it will catch you out. Tell yourself this though. Your Dad went through a hell of a lot of pain during his treatmen, I know Mum did. Now he is at peace, with no more pain. Grief will manifest itself in many forms, don't push it away, it's part of the healing process. Tell your freinds how you feel. those that are true freinds will understand, but whatever you do, you will never forget as long as your Dad is in your heart. May he rest in peace and may I again offer my heartfelt sympathy. Blesséd be.
