Legacy FMC initialization

Hi,
Have just got the Legacy, and am following the Pilot Notes enclosed with the disc to set up a flight.

When programming the FMC, I get a request to "Confirm Init" after completing the peformance initialization pages.  Selecting this option gives the message "Not Initialized".
I've been over all the pages several times checking the inputs with no luck, and the Pilot Notes make no reference to this confirmation stage.  

What am I missing ?
