REX is a weather program. Here is the website: http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/
Definitely a decent addon for FSX and now available for FS9 as well.

Well, I got FSX and use real weather when I fly, so I guess I use it, right?

The standard weather in FSX vastly better than the old F9, but downloading real weather has been a relevation. Maybe will post some pics of recent flight from St Thomas to St Maarten.

You won't be using REX unless you have purchased it and installed it.  It is an add-on for FSX and FS9.

If you look at the screen shot section, you will certainly see some very nice weather and environment effects such as sunsets/sunrises, etc.
