It is marginally.  Different engine to the ordinary 1.4s in the Look, Verve, Quicksilver.  They use the old TU3 engine that has been present in Peugeots for decades.  The Sport has the ET3 'Prince' engine, a joint venture between PSA and BMW for the newer generation Peugeots (available in the last 206s before production ended, as well as all later models 207, 308), as well as the BMW Mini One.  It's the same size physically, but a much more sophisticated engine, with Direct Injection rather than Multi-Point and 16 valves with variable valve timing.  Delivers 90bhp rather than 75bhp and is all round a more powerful and much smoother running engine.
Kind regards,
Tom

Quote Why do you think people like my dad get diesels for company cars?

These days, unless you claim fuel for personal use through the company and do over 15k personal per year, it's usually because the emissions are much lower, hence the company car tax is much lower rather than fuel efficiency. The difference in tax between higher and lower emissions is enough to render the comparative price of fuel per gallon irrelevant, especially if it's a nice car and you're paying higher rate tax.

But the quicksilver and SE also deliver 90bhp, you must be getting confused with the quicsilver ( without the K ), the SE, Sport and Quicksilver all have 16 valves delivering 90bhp, unlike the other engines that have 8 valves, quicsilver, glx, verve etc delivering the 75bhp
