Connie fans, I purchased the boxed version recently (a long time coming, I must say), which seems to be free of some of the glitches mentioned in the Forum. Those I have picked up are mostly annoying rather than affecting operations. The cockpit tool-tips are sometimes incorrectly captioned (cowl flap and oil radiator switches are all labelled as oil cooler switches). My ground crewman is only visible from the cockpit and not in Spot view on the ground. There seem to be no co-pilot or cabin views. I cannot get the prop reverse thrust to work, and the engineer's switching is over-sensitive and hard to work confidently.
If you want serious reference material on the 1049, go to www.rareaviation.com. For US$29.95 you can download a beautiful copy of an original Crew Operating Manual which runs to 284 pages with excellent colour illustrations of systems. Highly recommended.
