Hey, does anybody happen to have the pref numbers for the Just Flight DC-6B?  Since they came out with the cargo version I'd like to try and make some money with it.

How do I calculate the fuel from pounds to gallons? I tried the loading option of AH to find it out and I get different factors, for example 10 gallons = 69 lbs -> factor 6,9, 200 gallons = 1340 lbs -> factor 6,7.
It's so hard to find the specs for add-on planes, especially the fuel burn, which is always shown in pounds, not in gallons.
So it's not really fun to import new planes to AH!

1 USG of 100LL weighs 6.7 Lbs (at standard temp/pressure).

1 USG of JetA1 weighs 6.0 Lbs

To convert Lbs to Kgs, divide by 2.2

Just simple maths

So coming from the other way:

Kg -> Lbs   multiply by 2.2
Lbs -> USG divide by 6 or 6.7 as appropriate

Slopey, you have those figures backwards.  100LL is 6 pounds, jetA is 6.7 pounds.

Hi all, newbie to FSX here.  Really enjoying AH.  I just picked up JF's Lockheed Model 10C/E Electra (in their Around the World package) as I love vintage air and want to use this particular aircraft as my primary hauler.  My concern is in the import of the machine as data available on the net is doing my head in.  I was wondering if anyone has seperated the wheat from the chaff so to speak.  A lot of the data I've looked at is for Amelia Earhart's ill-fated trek, rather than on the general use Electra 10, or there is a lot of variance between sources.  Any help would be appreciated!  Smile

Look in the aircraft.cfg file for the stats AH will use. The only ones you really need to worry about are...

MTOW
Empty Weight
Fuel capacity

It will also be helpful to know the flap damage speed, gear damage speed, cruise speed, fuel burn and range.

Don't be surprised if what you find in the aircraft.cfg file differs from real-world stats - it often does for reasons only the developers of the aircraft understand.

Hello! Need help with Eaglesoft Citation X. Official site told us, that she can carry ~14.000 Lbs http://www.cessna.com/citation/citation-x
But it's is bigger, than DC-3 can take. Is it correct? Cuz when importing Citation to Air Hauler it makes his load very small.
