This is a very interesting program about the worlds largest airliner, well worth a watch. In the first 10 minutes, it explains wing vortexes, how winglets are used, and why vortexes occur (un-used, un-needed wing area) A Vortex is created from air under the wing spiralling on to the top of the wing...

It is an interesting series. What's wierd is that the BBC are advertising it as all new, when actually, it was shown on the National Geographic Channel early last year! |

I watched it when it first came on the tv he so small and the A380 is HUGE.
