Have not posted for a while due to some tech probs with my PC but here is a flight i did finish.
Route: Portland (KPDX) to San Francisco (KSFO)
Aircraft: 737 (Pilot in Command, WILCO), ATA airlines. The airline recently has gone through some financial problems and is no longer flying the US skies unfortunately.
Here is a little tribute....
ATA at the gate in Portland. AES in full swing here as we prepare for departure
The tug pushing us back. One good thing about AES is the tug will place you directly onto the taxi line, unlike default FS...
Taxiing out
ATC clearence to enter the active
All lined up ready to roll. MCP, FMC, SID, etc all set for departure out of KPDX
Rotate!!! Sorry this one is edited as you can tell..
Birds eye view
Still on the SID over Portland
The office is fairly quiet today. No traffic, not much else going on. Smooth departure all in all
Already on the STAR into KSFO
Last minute checks, all set for landing
My view on the inbound. Went for the manual landing onto 28R
Spotters on a yacht below capture this final ATA flight landing
Steady and smooth
Nice touchdown
Slowing down on the active (reversers have already been on)
The airport marshaller greets our arrival for immediate taxi to the hangar
Waiting to cross the runway we just landed on after a little going in circles
Hangar insight and the doors are almost fully open as we near
Marshaller directing us forward nice and safely
Stairs arrive and the first bus is ready to take some passengers to the main terminal
Another couple of buses pull up and the planned is almost deplaned and likely to be sold in the near future
Hope you have enjoyed the post.

The shots are breathtaking. Love the edited shot. Looks like a photo! Is the Portland scenery from Flightscenery and KSFO from FlyTampa (since those are both AES supported)?

Thanks guys. I do own both Active Sky and Flight Environment but none of those are installed. The clouds, sky etc are all default. The ground textures are from Ground Environment.
The sceneries used are the correct ones you mention there nicholas, Fly Tampa KSFO and Flightscenery KPDX.
Cheers, Davey

Wow absolutely fantastic, I bow down to such a post!
Chris: I'm pretty sure ATA stands for American Trans Air...

Ground environment is good. I forgot to mention that i do also have Ultimate Terrain USA installed which makes the ground look even better.
As far as im aware there is no FPS impact on the sim.
Cheers for the comments

They are both very good in their own right but if you have them both combined they look amazing. You get the result as shown in my shots. Ground Environment alone is good as it covers the whole world where as ultimate terrain only do coverge of certain areas, e.g. USA and Europe, but the detail is very very good. Whether they do more for other areas or not i do not know.
