Internet fraudsters sell complete financial identities for just £80, according to an online safety group.

Quote The details packaged and sold online include names, addresses, passport numbers and confidential financial data such as credit card numbers.

With six out of 10 people now managing finances online, experts say the public needs to do more to prevent e-crime.

Crucially, warn experts, too many people use the same password for key websites, making it easier for bank details and other sensitive data to be gathered.
 
 
 
Don't know about you lads, but for important passwords I use a different and hard to guess password each time. The difficulty then becomes remembering them, so the temptation arises to write them down. Not a problem as long as they are not with bank cards etc, and coded so only you can decipher. Storing passwords, encrypted on a USB stick is one option I suppose.
