Everytime I request progressive taxi I experience the same issue,
The arrows are not there to be seen (Until I go to 3D view outside and by panning at certain angle they appear!...
...Or...
They are very irregular in performance? If I may say so?...Sometimes they appear but above the gound, sorry it's a dark image, but it make it easier to see the arrows; As you can see by the image...They eventually settle on the ground and are easier to fallow.
Just wondered why does this happen and is there a way to fix it.
Otherwise I have excellent graphics everywhere Here is a screenie:
And here is an image at daytime:<a href="http://s270.photobucket.com/albums/jj107/berlopez/?action=view¤t=Progressivetaxiiissueatdaytime.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj107/berlopez/Progressivetaxiiissueatdaytime.jpg" border="0" alt="Progressive taxi issue at daytime"></a>

I have experienced this problem also, although it is dependant on which airport you fly from. I understand that the bug appeared in the Acceleration / Service Pack 2 upgrade only. From what I have read on FSInsider.com, it will not be fixed as SP2 is the last upgrade to FSX, as they are now concentrating of MSFS11.

I do not have SP2 Installed because my Graphic card doesn't support DX10 but windows Vista already has it in the OS. From what I have experienced it doen't only depend on what airport but what aircraft too. Thanks for your input
16.4.08.
I think it has to do with scenery complexity? Not the slider...But the default scenery in the sim. If you go to help and type airports...There,, there is a list of complex airports, Cph Kastrup is one of them...Where the sim/harware has to work hard to diplay everything.
Today I installed SP1 Windows vista update KB936330; and when I opened the sim and requested progressive taxi in Ksatrup...To my surprise the arrows were perfect....When I finally landed in Heathrow and requested it there Alas! they were perfect too and heathrow is a very complex airport. I was flying default 747-400

Hi, do you have FS Global installed? Because FS Global lowers and raises terrain, which could be why progressive taxi is about 10 feet above the ground.
Matt.

No, Matt. I have had it installed, but it gave so many unwanted issues that I uninstalled it again. It's areal shame because it's a very good product and really improved the visual scenery of FSX, But as it says, in the installation inst. it's 13GB'S And that made my system work overtime...My FPS fell dramatically and general performance too. So overall can't say I was satisfied.
Come to think of it, while I had it installed my Taxi Isssue started, sometimes, not all the time, can't say the arrows were above ground level everytime I used the sim.
Very good imput Matt, my hat's off to you.

FS Global should not have affected your FPS regardless of the size on your hard drive. The amount of files on your drive do not influence frames per second.
SP2 is for all systems, regardless as to whether you have a Dx10 card.
I would suggest you reinstall the sim, sounds like FS Global left your installation slightly messed up.
