I am using Version 1.03
How does one close the hatch for the parachute if left open in flight?

Land and use the hand winding tool - there is no function in the Vulcan for shutting the tail brake chute door once opened.

I think there is a bug as it pops open on take off.

If you look under the changelog on the JF Support for the Vulcan, v1.03 incorporated some changes in the way the chute operated ("brake chute deployment logic and animation improved"). I suspect that change has affected the brake chute door opening as soon as the front landing gear leaves the runway. It has been reported and is being fixed. --WH |

The requested change was to make the TBC a single-use item, and that the door remain open after jettison (it can only be closed by manually winding down from an external point). Obviously something's crept in there which has the door opening on take-off, it'll be fixed shortly!

All good news, I thought I had opened it inadvertently... :)
