Hi guys, I'm not (yet) a customer of the C152. I was wondering about the attitude indicator design, it's a commercial instead of GA design. The difference between these two is the way the rollindex works - in the commercial (like Boeing) design the index is a skypointer (it always points upwards into the sky), in the GA version the index is grouped with the plane symbol (which has been proven to be a better design). I wonder why you put a commercial one in there, was this intentional? Never seen a C152 with one like that. Are you planning in offering a GA version too? :) Thanks!

The attitude indicator seems to be a RC ALLEN 22 model. I found one C152II, N757PT, on the internet which is equipped with an RC ALLEN 22.

This is the catalog for the RC ALLEN 22: https://www.kellymfg.com/images/RC%20ALLEN%20Catalog.pdf And this is one moving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bfuXe6TIoA It looks like the -22 is a general aviation (fixed pointer) design. |

In the PA 28 Warrior the Allen RC 22 works like shown in the video.
Maybe Just Flight should use this one for the C152 too. |

![]() I did some studies on the different horizon designs at university. It was shown that the GA design is significantly better in reaction time and reliability of use compared to the commercial design. This is because pilots tend to "move" the rollindex in a compatible fashion with the yoke - the commercial design is counterintuitive. This is why I believe the C152 as a basic trainer should have a GA horizon.

Any word from the developer about this? I've checked several 152s at the local airport, all have a GA horizon. Thank you, Olli
