Hello there,
I very much appreciate the work put into the the Turbo Arrow package. That said, I have noticed that there seems to be some issues with regard to the drag dynamics with the aircraft. Here are the manifestations: 1. On flare, chopping the power results in an unrealistic decrease in airspeed vs. the real life aircraft. 2. Taxi power should be much closer to 1000 rpm vs. 1400 or 1500rpm. 3. The aircraft certainly seems to decelerate much too quickly post-touchdown. Otherwise, the flight model seems to be fairly close. Certainly a lot of good work has been put into the aircraft. Thank you for any help you might be able to provide. Best regards, Joe |

The combination of those three suggests that, rather than drag, there's a touch too little power at lower engine settings. In P3D, ground friction is set by the sim rather than the fde, so the deceleration post-touchdown cannot be adjusted by anything other than thrust.
I'll have a look, see what I can do when I have a bit of spare time. Cheers, Paul. |

Very well could be just that. The aspect I first noticed was that cutting power in the flare made the plane drop like a rock. Power off glide (simulated engine failure) didn't seem to be too far off (certainly with gear up) but it's been many years since I have practiced that in an Arrow specifically. That too may have been a bit steep come to think of it.
Thank you for your time and efforts, Joe |

I noticed this as well on short final. I just thought it was normal for the aircraft. I've been landing with a little bit of extra power to keep the sink rate acceptable.
I'm glad you have real-life experience and can give this sort of input.

Thanks for this feedback. I've passed it on to the developers of the X-Plane version.
