Its interesting to see what you can get out of it and how fast you can push it. The figures differ depending on which manual you are reading.
I have an airline manual that tells me to climb at 140kts @ 13,800 rpm. Cruise at 200ft about 180kts and no more than 200kts at 15,800rpm, and descend at 180 kts 12-1100rpm. Approach at 110kts 16°flaps gear down, then drop flaps to full at 400ft agl keeping the same power on until touchdown. I find this seems to be a good rough guide to flying the simulated aircraft smoothly, although you can get a lot more power out of it than that, and the airline manual makes it clear that their figures are based on extending the life of the aircraft with as few repairs as possible rather than what you can push the aircraft to. A lot of that manual stresses the importance of limiting the power rather than letting it do what it wants. I hope this helps: I made a little chart of the airline manual figures at : https://stormtossedclouds.wordpress.com/2017/08/23/fokker-f27-performance-engine-management-flying-tips-chart-for-fsx/

I recently bought the F27.
The F27 manual states you can climb at 1000 ft/min at 160 kts and 14,200 RPM and max cruise speed is 225 kts at 14,200 RPM. I think that's correct. I can climb at 1000 ft/min with full load at 200 kts and 12,000 RPM. I can achieve a cruise speed of 225 kts with a lot less than 14,200 RPM. It's very difficult descending below 225 kts. Does anyone else have these problems? I use FSX SE, Windows 10, 64-bit. |
