Topic: DC-8 Jeliner - Upcoming Service Packs Response Posted: 19 Jul 2017 at 4:10pm |
The service pack is now undergoing some final testing and should be available to download very soon. I'll post here when it is available.
Edit (28/07/17): We are awaiting a couple of new files from the developer and then the SP will be released.

The service pack will be available in the coming days. The remaining work is for us to complete - finishing off new custom code and an updated manual.
As always, if you would prefer a refund or exchange then please contact the support team.
Thanks Martyn

That certainly is good news, Martyn (about the service packs, not that there's only one of you)!
Cheers, Scott

Hi Bob,
Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) there is only one of me and I'm currently jumping between the One Eleven and DC-8 SPs. Busy at the moment finishing off a new custom fuel system for the One Eleven but should have both SPs finished off within the next few working days.
Thanks Martyn

Will there be additional liveries added to both DC-8 series in the future?

Another point: the distinctive loud "HOWLING" during engine startup existed only on the P&W JT3D-3B FANJET of the DC-8-50 and DC-8-61 series.
This howling was not present on the P&W JT3D-3B/7 DUCTED-FAN FANJET of the DC-8-62/63 .
Just for information .

We are waiting now since december 2015 for the update of the Dc8-50-70.
Don't forget to add a POPUP for the AUTOPILOT. Otherwise for me the plane is not flyable. (I now use the AP-popup of the free Hjg_Dc-8 which works very well.) I had signaled this via a ticket already.

Thank you Martyn for the update. Hope your definition of "soon" is not the same as past definitions.
| Triflyman, obviously you don't live in Australia. Here a definition of soon is any time from tomorrow to Christmas and beyond .

Anxious to see the 50 to 70 patch. I did request a refund but will happily rebuy when I see it. I thought it had much promise.

Martyn, I figured I would wait a few weeks to ask how the update for 50-70 series is going. In the meantime I have the 10-40 series that is working well. Any updates?

Any more news on the service pack for the 50-70 series? Here we are in April. I just bought this and quite frankly as is am unhappy with it. So many things needing fixing this far in is unacceptable. Last Aeroplane Heaven airplane I buy. Period. Shame I have several I really like but not this! |
10-40 SP will be released within the next day or two. The 50 to 70 will follow that. Hopefully within the next week or so. We hope that will sort the current issues but please if you're not happy, request your refund. We'll be happy to oblige.
Once again, apologies for the delays in getting these latest SP's out to you all, reasons have been relayed in other threads and conversations. Glad to say we are getting somewhere now so normal service to be resumed shortly.
