Hi
The PR9 Canberra is fitted with a Sperry Mk 4B compass which seems to be the root of my question. The manual tells us that "The pilot’s gyro unit, on the flight instrument panel, may also be used as a directional gyro by setting a COMPASS/D GYRO switch, on the right console, to D GYRO" Can someone explain to me what this all means? When and why would I choose to switch from Compass to D Gyro and what would result? Thanks in anticipation. Mike |
