How to Assign Saitek Switches

   After many years away I have returned this year to the world of Flight Sims. I have been enjoying the F27 Friendship with which I use Saitek hardware. It works well on the whole but I would appreciate some help with assigning some of the switches on the Saitek Switch Panel to the aircraft.

I use SPAD for the hardware. I also have a registered copy of FSUIPC but I am comnplete newbie with that. 

For now I would like help if possible with assigning the Nav, Avionics, and Taxi switches on the panel. At the moment they do nothing and I have to go to the virtual cockpit to assign them. Not a great hardship but it would be nice to use the hardware.
