Hi, I got the Level-D 767 download for FSX and when I go onto the main page of FSX (after I have installed it )where I select the aircraft I choose LDS 767. Then it comes up with "panel initialization failure!" I have been on the Level D forum asking how I go about fixing this but unfortunately no help.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem and if so, can I please ask to have the instruction in the simplest form? I really appreciate any help whatsoever as I desperately wish to fly this aircraft as soon as possible... preferably this weekend!
Thanks.

I assume you have any updates installed?
If you have, try a re-install of the LVLD 767. I hope you get it going good as it's a great addon

Many Thanks,

Not much to add other than follow their advice carefully. Seems pretty straight forward to me - I'd only be repeating what they said.
What they're essentially doing is clearing the 767 off the system and starting over. FSX is screwy. Best regards, Vulcan. |

As Vulcan states, the only way is to follow that thread exactly as stated. Work with Daryl and he will talk you through it, he is approachable as long as you don`t start shouting the odds! It takes time but you will get there. If you`d been in Warrington I would have done it for you to get you sorted and flying. I`ve reinstalled this bird from a download more than a dozen times and never had a problem. It has to be done logically and carefully. The faults are not Level D but a mixture of problems from different sources, only one of which tips things over the edge. Miss one little step and you`re 'p'ing into an head wind in an uphill direction with a juggernaut headed your way at speed!

I had same problem when I clicked to trust all level-d dlls instead of clicking each. Reinstallation helped me.

Go to the 767 forum, open the main 7 page thread on the subject and go to the last page. State your case and stay there while Daryl talks you though it. He is approachable as long as you don`t lose your rag and don`t post a fresh thread again when theirs already one going. At the moment you`re theshing wildly around in the sea whilst the sharks circle. Get in there, wade in and stay there to the bitter end. Not nice but you have to do it to its natural conclusion. It doesn`t matter that you don`t understand , he has got the experience and knowledge to talk you through it.

I've also had this problem, I wiped level-d completely off my system(as said) and it worked perfectly.
What your looking for Tom, in the fsx.cfg is in the [Trusted dlls] section, and if you enabled the dlls, there will be stuff like LVLD/763/OVERHEAD.GAU etc, if there is, delete those, and uninstall the 767, and try again, if the problem still persists they suggest editing the fsx.xml don't they?
If that doesn't help, either get the FS2004 version(They downgraded mine for me, however think I still have both)
Or, reinstall FSX, and that should sort the problem.
Also, if you have the Wilco 737 series, there is a known bug with that editing the fsx.xml(to be corrupted in installing add-ons way) which is probably causing your problems!

I have followed the instructions by the letter! And it has still not worked, so Darly has given me some more things to follow about the DLL.XML file.
Hopefully it should work soon
When you said about reinstalling FSX can I keep my rewards and hours etc.?
