Hi All

I have always flown my payware jets and had no problems in FSX.  I thought I would try the smaller planes to enjoy my new UK2000 scenery but after takeoff and reaching altitude, I level off and release the joystick only to find the plane instantly goes into a sharp nose dive.  I have trimmed the plane but it seems to need a lot of adjustment.

I use a Thrustmaster Hotas X joystick.  I don't think it's the joystick as its new and checked the properties and its dead centre, it must be something i'm doing or not doing.  Any help would be great.

I didn't notice any problems beforewhen flying the Cessna. When you start a new flight, does the trim settings etc revert back?

Cheers

Probably a saved flight issue. You've left the a/p on the ground, or you haven't loaded the aircraft within the acceptable C of G range perhaps. Either way, you'e identified the solution. Joysticks are spring loaded to the central position so you need to trim, trim, trim.

Many thanks snave for the reply. I will look into the saved flight idea. It threw me as I have flown these before and had no problems.  Like you say, trim, trim, trim.

I use that exact same joystick all the time and no problems here with both jets and light aircraft.  This post is just a reference point for you.  I checked on the net to make sure it was the same one.
