Have not actually done it with this add-on but normally when you have downloaded it in a readable format then you should be able to just upload through a menu in the aircrafts FMC. Have a look at the manual for the FMC - I know PMDG add-on aircraft come with a very detailed FMC guide.

If you want to upload the flightplan into the FMC automatically then you need to use a flight planner that can export plans to the PMDG format. I don't know of any freeware programmes that will do this (although I'm happy to be corrected) but two payware planners that can are FSCommander: http://www.fscommander.com/ and FSBuild: http://www.fsbuild.com/ If you don't want to pay for one of these then you are going to have to enter the plans manually - see my instructions in your other thread. It's really not that much work once you get the hang of it. Matthew

2 freeware examples above
On sim routes you can download the format for the aircraft that you want (i.e in this case for the PMDG 747). As I said before though have not done it with this aircraft before so would need checking with the FMC manual if no one can help. Its bound to be a simple process of going though one of the menus on the FMC if you have saved it to the right directory - again not sure about this for this aircraft.
For some other addons I just create my plans in FS2004 format and then save them to the main FS9 flightplans folder (should be in My Documents under Flight Simulator Files) and then import through a FMC menu.
Could not be easier doing it this way, just got to get yours onto the FMC which unfortunatley I cant help with this aircraft. |

PMDG uses a custom flightplan format and can't read flightplans created using the standard FlightSim flightplanner. It looks like you need to use a combination of routefinder to generate the route and then simroutes to export it to PMDG format.
The file generated by Simroutes needs to be saved to the PMDG flightplans folder(<YourFlightSimRootFolder>/PMDG/Flightplans) then you load it into the PMDG FMC by entering the filename in the CO ROUTE line on the RTE page of the FMC. So if you are flying from EGLL to KJFK then SimRoutes will generate a file called EGLLKJFK.rte and you need to enter EGLLKJFK in the CO ROUTE line.
