After seeing the set ups at Cosford at the weekend I think my next upgrade will be a new monitor, mine is a 23 inch HP, max res is 1920 x 1080, its LCD and not HD. Because of the desk size I probably cant go much bigger.
What I am wondering is if going HD and higher res will make FSX / P3D any crisper. I have a GTX650 Ti Boost 2GB graphics card, that has DVI, HDMI and VGA sockets, I have had this monitor for at least 4 years so it is due for a change, but only if it will improve things. I also have a switch box that connects my business PC and Xbox 360 th the monitor, these are connecte via VGA are these connections still on new HD monitors? Thanks Wayne |

Well, 1080p is the same resolution as your HP2310i, so it won't technically be crisper when you're looking at static images, but for motion it should flicker less (as it's progressive scan rather than interlaced), if you're noticing it currently.
How are you plugged in at the moment? VGA or DVI? Unless you're very very sensitive to this sort of stuff, or it's currently bugging you, you might not see any appreciable difference.

DVI connection at the moment, maybe looking at it a bit more, like I have been and giving myself a headache in the process there is little point changing.
