Hi Syonco,

This one is really weird.

Would you mind posting the full error message again, I truncated it previously as I thought I'd had it nailed with the MDAC, but obviously not.

0x80004005 indicates insufficient privileges. But since you stated you are running as admin it can also indicate a system misconfiguration. Try running fix cleaner click here to download FixCleaner ) to see if any other program has changed or locked any settings. Also if you haven't already (which I'm sure you have) you need to install Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0. ( http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=6523 ) Windows 7 comes with 4.0 but for some reason .Net Framework have seemingly very little backwards compatability

Hello

.NET2.0 was already installed. Ran the FixCleaner program, didn't help (thanks anyway)

@cbear - I've got Microsoft SQL Server 2012 installed (No idea how that got there, unless it's installed default with Win7? What should i do with it?

Here's the full error as requested :

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hi Syonco,

Thanks for that.  I think you're missing a Microsoft Access driver on your system - that specific call to the airport database uses a slightly different data access method than the other database calls in AH (don't ask me why, I can't remember!) and it's not finding the correct driver.

Can you try installing this:

That should put the Access driver back on your system, and after a reboot, can you try again please?

I appreciate your help/patience with this, and apologies for the hassle!

Cheers,
S.

Hi

Downloaded and installed the Access Driver. It's now giving me a different error code (see below)
Appreciate you guys trying to help me sort this out, this is definitively an error on my end, and not a fault of your program - so thank you, really!

Can you now uninstall AirHauler completely (delete the AirHauler directory in program files (x86) if it still exists after the uninstall).

Then re-install AirHauler, but to c:\AirHauler

Then right click on the Airhauler icon, select "Run as Administrator" and try that?

Cheers,
S.

Very, very happy,

I have a similar problem, been running AH for years on a win 7 machine and just changed to a new win 10 machine. Everything was running good for many weeks. now when I click on my company and OK I get the unhandled exception. It says " data source name not found and no default driver specified", I have tried every tip I can find on the net and nothing works, I even downloaded a new version and still the same result.

Microsoft said to install and configure DTS package using 6.5 FDM import wizard.

At this point I am past my abilities, I am worried when I buy AH2 the same thing will happen.

john.

Do you back up your drive? If so, zip up your AH folder and copy the back up to your normal drive.

Then you can at least see if it's a corrupt company or a windows problem depending on if it loads or not.

Not sure where to post this, but maybe someone can help me. When I log in Air Hauler ask for payment of planes, pilots, and insurance. It took away all my 60 planes I had on lease. How can I get all these back? and where can I go?

It looks like yove lost them unless you had a back up.
 You could just hire new pilots and lease/buy again.

I buy planes when I can afford to, you could have done that as you can't be short of money leading 60 planes.

Did this happen after a long break from AH?

You likely need to download and install the Microsoft Access Redistributable, from here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=13255

This won't happen with AH2, as it doesn't use MS Access any more, but it will be required if you want to import an AH1 company into AH2.

They've done it to me two times in a year now. I had my company up to billion dollars, now since I had to pay the aircraft, all of them are gone again. I give up. I'm sick of trying to build it back, and its takes to long, all my top pilots had  DC10--30F, now all gone again. Why can't they fix the crap!

There's no need to be rude!

Done "what" exactly?

Base rental, aircraft lease costs, and pilot wages are still accrued even if you don't play AirHauler - when you come back, you'll be charged for these items, however you should be charged on a monthly basis each time you launch AH until you're up to date with your payments.

If you had a company whereby the monthly overhead exceeded the cash you had in your company account, and you don't play for a long period of time, when you start AH again there won't be enough money to cover your costs, and aircraft/bases will be repossessed.

AH has always worked like that, it doesn't need "fixed", it is working as intended.

However, as you've provided no information on what the actual problem is, it's difficult for me to tell.
