I've just listed a 3 or 4 throttle quadrant on Ebay. It's all CNC wood construction, with all the goodies that we're looking for in a quadrant.

I'm curious - why three throttles, and not two or four?

The quadrants that I am currently building have a total of 4 analog axis. I make one that has two throttles plus a speed brake and flap lever. The three lever is actually the same quadrant, so it has three throttle levers and one for flaps. It comes with an extra 4th lever so that it can be made into a 4 throttle unit.
There are aircrafts such as the dc10, the l1011 and the B727 that call for a three lever unit. In the end, whether it's two, three or four is simply a matter of the "shape" of the actual individual lever. My kits are designed to be highly customized for anything the user imagines due to its all wood construction, easy all pulley mechanism, and very easy assembly design. With some imagination and woodworking skills, the user can use it to create the perfect throttle. Finally, this unit tries to address the need between a Saitek or a CH and the very high end ones. tony |
