BBC news today, A350 the plane Airbus did not want to build.
There was a lookalike competition between the A350 and the Dreamliner, both won first prize.Wink

might not wanted to build but they have plenty of orders according to news.....such a shame they closed the runway at filton, used to love seeing the Guppy come in to pick up the wings....

Seems to me that two things critical to success.
1) Economy
2) Commonality enabling reduced crew training and ease of servicing.
If you can fly one airbus, should be able to fly them all.
