Thanks for having me,
I've just purchased a DC-6B (Boxed) and wonder if any of you experienced Sim-Commander's could tell me your views on it?
I don't have the manual etc. yet and perhaps the Xmas post might delay arrival for a week or so but what's the pros and cons, the sound (via You Tube) seems really good though?
Happy Christmas All,
Sprint-Man

Hello Sprint-Man. The DC-6B is excellent in all respects, visuals, sound, etc. Do you mean you have the disc but no manual? If so I would jump in, set flaps at 20, open the cowl flaps 50%, 3 degrees trim up, rotate 105-110 kts, raise flaps @ 140kts, climb at 500-1000 fpm and fly this magnificent bird. If you like this you'll like the Constellation too. Merry Christmas.
Must Fly!

Ermm Pardon my lack of forum-knowledge,
Captain IFLY the pictures are quite stunning, how do you do that, seems I have much to learn?

My problem with any 'taildragger' would be that you can't taxi so easily and I am having enough difficulty as it is, still it's all part of the learning process ... hopefully?

Thank You

[Sprintman] - Thanks , the Photo Screen Shots were taken as I flew.

You can do the same, by taking and hitting the "PRINT SCREEN" on your keyboard - then using your windows paint program to OPEN up the photo Screen Shot, Resize it, smaller,, in JPG format. and upload the Photo Screen Shot - to a photo web site like Photo bucket, and once you do that, copy/paste with your mouse,,, the IMG tags and then paste that tag into your message here .

Simple as that,,,

But I know I've lost you,, your probably like - Whatttttt ?????

best thing for you to do is find you a screen shot program,, for taking photo screen shots, be my suggestion !

I use a Registered / Payware version of FRAPS, for my Videos and photo screen shots.

Heres a Video of the Vintage Howard 500 I often Fly !

Hi Sprint-Man,

I'd be interested to know what you think of the DC-6 now you've had a chance to fly and get to know the aircraft.

By the way, you can capture a screen shot by simpley pressing the v key on the keyboard when you see a pleasing composition on screen. As CaptainIFLY said, you will need to resize and convert the captured image into jpg format before you can post on this forum.
