    Posted: 20 Aug 2012 at 12:56am
I purchased the 146-200 Jetliner about a week ago and I just love it. Everything seems to be working fine except for one annoying thing.
On final approach and even after landing, the CoPilot keeps calling out V1, V1, V1.  How can I get him to shutup?
The CoPilot callouts at takeoff work fine, this only happens at the Destination airports.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Martyn,

I had the same yesterday on approach to LCY, doing about 120-140kts and at about 1000ft. Had the V1 call out once, but it might have been when I was adding power as I was getting a bit slow.

Could it be that the call-out fires with increasing speed, under a certain altitude, but it's not checking the V/S to see if you're descending, so it calls out every time you pass that speed regardless?

I'll give it another test and drop you an email if I get it again.

I suspect you are right Slopey. We'll add this to the list for the first SP.

I too get the V1 call out when not on taking off. Clearly, there's one line missing in the algorithm.

Actually, rather than checking for V/S, it should check for if the aircraft is on the ground or not.

It seems it's more complicated than a simple flag. I've tried decelerating down to just above the stall at a variety of altitudes in landing config, but I don't get it. Also don't get it on approach to an airfield with the AP on the G/S.

So the only time I've had it is on approach to LCY with that as the destination on the flight plan.

Hi Martyn

I believe my IAS was about 133kts.
What was annoying was that I kept getting the V1 Callout even while taxiing and parking at the Gate.

Thanks for your Help.

At times I don't get the V1 callout during takeoff. Does anyone know why?
