I posted that a while back Pete. Apparently the director wasn't happy with the script; it was compromised due to the writers strike. Hopefully, now it's over, the script will be up to par.

I must say I am a bit dismayed by the plot, ‘the early days of Kirk and Spock’. They could have been a lot more adventurous than that.

Oh well, we shall see, hopefully my fears are unfounded.

Quote the early days of Kirk and Spock

...sans William Shatner; they invited Leonard Nimoy back as Spock, but not Shatner. Shatner was quite upset and shocked apparently.

Best regards,
Vulcan.

Don't mean to be rude but the Shat Man is rather portly these days.

Anyway... what kind of role will Nimoy play, please don't tell me it's a flash back. Cry

Can't think of anything worse than another flash back plot. Disapprove

I mean another flash back, as in that’s a very clichéd tool used by writers that’s been done to death, Boring, banal, trite, and very annoying. If Nimoy's in it as Spock then it must be a flash back to his younger days... MartinW no likey.

The writers strike is over. So the dodgy writing that worried the director so much for the star trek movie, looks set to be improved.
