Hmmmm.... as yet another sign of dumbing of the population, even the news reporter failed to call it a lenticular cloud. They can only form under very specific atmospheric conditions, and only on the downwind side of a very large hill/mountain.

A great cloud all the same!!!

You should google The Telegraph's report of Carol Vorderman flying with Ultimate High at Kemble last week. Apparently she carried out very dangerous manouevres, including the exceptionally dangerous "stall turn" so called "because the engine is turned off". Lazy, dim-witted journalism!
