Hi Folks,
I'm new to this forum, and just purchased today both the DC3 Legend of flight and the expansion pack. I wanted to know if I just purchased and installed this aircraft, do I still need to install the SP1? The reason I ask is because the SP1 wouldn't install on my computer. The base model and the expansion pack installed just fine thou. Also, do I need the sound pack update too? One thing I do see on my gauge is the speed gauge reading MPH rather than Knots. Is this right or not?

I have this same problem and have opened a support ticket. After a couple of back and forth e-mails the position is wait and see. Just Flight are looking at some of their installers. Not the ideal response but at least something is being done. (I hope)

Hi Chaps,
Someone is looking into this problem as we speak and you should see a revised update issued today/tomorrow. Please note - this is a public discussion forum rather than a technical support forum. As such it isn't monitored 24hrs a day by us and posts can be missed. If you have a problem that needs our attention then please use the technical support area on our website (www.justflight.com/support.asp) |

And remember, JF are only open Mon-Fri, so you won't usually get a response from a staffer there over the weekend. |

Thanks folks, got the new patch and it installed fine. However I do have another problem with the DC3. I am unable to change any of the radio frequencies using either the virtual cockpit or the 2D popup window. Also with the 2D GPS window, none of the buttons on the gps are working. I wonder if anyone could check their install to see if the problem lies at my feet or if it's the DC3.
Thanks

Hmmmm, a quick update. Just done some trouble shooting to see what could be causing this problem. Loaded the default Cessna and GPS and radios working fine. Loaded the default DC3 and GPS and radios not working. So it would seem I have a problem with the default GPS and radios used with the DC3. I will have to investigate what could be causing this. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.
Thanks

Yesterday I flew the DC-3 without having to load the default cessna and the GPS worked fine for me. Not sure why is not working for you. I was also able to change the radio frequencies, but I have not tested the 2D panel to see if it works there.

Yes thanks Specialist. I have established it is the default gauges on my system not working. Don't know the cause yet though.

Haa solved. Silly me. I missed the 'Master' radio switch in the 2D panel pop up window. Once that was switched on all working.

The original post in this thread asked "I wanted to know if I just purchased and installed this aircraft, do I still need to install the SP1?" - The question was never answered
I just purchased the download version of the DC-3 ( the base package without the expansion pack)- do I need to run SP1 ?
