Password

I have on record 'Email', 'password', and 'other'. I tried to logon but it appeared that there was something wrong?? So the only thing I could do was tick 'Forgoten password'. My "new" password was emailed to so I could login - fine, I loged in.  The new password of capital letters and numbers so I thought I'd change back to my original password in my profile.  the boxes I had to fill in were: 'new password' (Letter & numbers), 'confirm password' (letters & numbers), 'old password' (my original old password) - didn't recognise. In the end it wouldn't use any password apart from the Capital letters & numbers.
