Hi all,

I've finally finished the 'Bishop Auckland to Darlington' route, (for Train Simulator 2012'). It took a while, mainly due to work commitments, but it's now fully completed and, if anyone is interested, will soon be available from 'Just Trains'.

It may not be the longest route in the world, but hopefully people will enjoy using it. There are numerous scenarios, and the inclusion of the fully-usable 'Shildon Locomotion Railway Museum' enables you to use any of the default steam/diesel loco available in the various route scenarios. Hopefully, due to the historic nature of the real-life line, (part of the famous Stockton and Darlington railway), it will be of some interest to enthusiasts.

I've really tried my very best to make the route as visually appealing and authentic as possible, (both for those with or without the new TSX effects), in particular the modernisation and remodelling of Darlington station, complete with turnstiles, ticket office, shops, seating areas, railings etc. I've also made the opaque/frosted-glass effect windows of the default station building into clear glass, which just adds a bit more realism.

Finally, I've made the railway tracks a bit more authentic in the winter season. They are normal dark gravel under the station canopy and snow-covered outside!

I've posted a few screenshots and video below to give you a better idea:

And the video. (Please click through to the YouTube site to watch in HD).

There are many more screenshots on my site, and at 'Just Trains'.. (Didn't want to over-run this forum with them all!) Please feel free to visit: http://www.dieseldo.scattybat.co.uk/rs/index.html

Cheers,
