hello all!
This is a recent problem that I cant seem to solve!
Im 5/10 mins into a flight and my speed tape - and standby IAS drops to 0, but....the actual speed goes to 100% N1!!!.
After a further 10 mins or so it kicks in again and is normal but just at an annoying time when I dont need it...it does it again!!! (so I have to counteract it by using manual throttle).
I thought I might have some failure set in FSX but I dont.
Any ideas anyone
Thanks.
Dave.

This happens to me when I forget to turn on the probe heat on the A-320. For some reason it is the one button that has to be turned on instead on remaining in Auto.

Are you sure the Pitot Heat is not turned off? It should be on.

Yes, Responsible for Air France crashes in Atlantic and Med. Happened top me on a descent into Canada. Probe very cold, enters moist air and ices up.
Always turn on pitot heat when descending rapidly from cruise.
