It's a a plant compound found in chocolate, called epicatechin.
It just happens to be in chocolate. They fed the mice epicatechin, not chocolate.
As usual the research is mutated by the newspapers to generate a sensational headline.
Lots of food stuffs contain "good" chemicals, but that has to be weighed against the substances in the food that "aren't good for you.
Don't go and stuff yourself with chocolate and expect the equivalent of a workout.
