Topic: (Edited) SP4.1 update Posted: 11 Jun 2011 at 2:41pm |
Hi All,
There seems to be an issue with the SP4.1 installer which is removing company files on some machines. JF will look into it asap, but for now, DO NOT UPDATE to service pack 4.1.
Also - copy your company files somewhere safe by way of backup every so often so you have them available.
I'll speak to JF on Monday and see if we can get to the bottom of the issue as it doesn't seem to be affecting everybody, just certain machines.
Unfortunately, I am not sure if any company files which have been removed will be recoverable - please check your recycle bin and see if they are there, or restore from a back up if you have one.
Apologies for the inconvenience, and we'll see if we can get JF to resolve the issue asap.
If you *have* been affected by this issue, can you post below with the following information to aid troubleshooting:
- Windows OS version
- Install path of AH
- Did you run the update "as Administrator" if on Windows 7
Cheers,
Slopey

Hi, Is there any chance you guys could link service pack 4.0 until 4.1 is re-released? Installed the game today and need service pack greater than 1.0 because my airline company doesnt save with version 1.0. Thanks John.

Too late. I installed to 4.1. Luckily my company is still alive.

That's not something that's resolved by a service pack. Define "doesn't save"? What OS are you on, where did you install AH to, and if it's Win7 are you running AirHauler "as Administrator"?

I got a problem now that I didn't have before. My company can't tell the difference between aircraft anymore. If I buy two or more of the same aircraft and livery the last aircraft never show up and I get initialization failure when FSX start. When on the parking there is no plane there, just air.
I run Win7 and installed all as admin. Path is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\

Would everyone please STOP posting issues in this thread UNLESS you have lost a company due to the SP4.1 update.

That sounds like the aircraft is corrupted in FSX. Can you load that exact aircraft, in that exact place in FSX without using AirHauler from a saved flight? i.e. start FSX, set the aircraft/location as it would be in AH, get into the cockpit, then save the flight, quit FSX, then double click the saved flight file, and see if FSX launches correctly.
PLEASE START A NEW TOPIC FOR THIS - no further responses in this thread please unless you have LOST a company.

I'm just trying to keep this topic for the original purpose I created it.
However, now that the SP has been released, it's no longer required.
