This is my first and probably my last post on this forum. I recently purchased the A 320. I am disappointed in several things: one, I paid for was is essentially freeware and it flies like freeware; secondly, the FMC does have a tendency to crash and the resulting FS to have a fatal error; finally, the handling of the aircraft is not what I thought. I guess I expected a little more realism, now mind you, not on the scale of Feelthere/Wilco stuff--way too involved and complicated for causal flying--but a little more than the freeware stuff. One last idea, a lack of usable repaints. I have tried to download repaints in the Delta scheme and adapt them to the A 320 no go. Why are there repaints for the 320? It is one of the world's most popular airliners. Sooooo, I will not be purchasing anymore of Just Flight's F-lite products. I don't care what the price is. The software is just not worth the money.

Agree, it's a bit less polished than the other Just Flight F-lite products. I particularly liked the F-lite products made by CLS (Longhaul pack, Airbus Pack, and A340 pack). I thought that the A320 is the same quality. I guess not. Anyway, I sure hope they fix the FMC crashing. But I find it better than freeware so I'm sticking with this. One this going for Just Flight vs. freeware is that you at least have some support and they do respond.
As for paints, each paint is dependent on the model. Paints for different publishers are not interchangeable. So someone has to make one specific for Just Flight. So far I think not a lot of people have the plane and painted for it so you won't find free paints in the usual sites. No choice but to paint your own or beg for someone to paint for you. |

The A320 too was my first JFLite purchase and although initially delighted the inability of the FMC to save the flight plan has been a real PITA.
When flying manually because of this problem, trying to get back into IFR by request to ATC causes a complete crash of FX. As regards repaints. Click 'show all variants' in choice of plane. A repaint tutorial is included in the info. johnep |

Hi Fred, Before posting here in the forum did you attempt to contact our support team to see if we were able to help you with the FMC crashing problem? Also with reference to the handling of the aircraft can you please let us know as to why it is not what you had thought? If you have experience in the real aircraft we would appreicate any feedback with reference to the flight dymanics. We have released four bundle livery packs for the A320 created by Aeroplane heaven containing over 30 liverys and have also included a paintkit containing instructions. Sorry to hear you are not happy with the aircraft however we are always avalible to provide support and advice via email, if you had purchased the A320 from us recently we can provide you with a full refund or exchange. If you wish to do so please email us for support at support@justflight.com and if you would like a refund please contact us at orders@justflight.com Kind Regards, Sam |

Hi Jomni,
Worth pointing out that the MCDU works for the vast majority of users. Only a very small minority of users reported experiencing any issues with instability. |

The crash to desktop was driving me crazy and the Tech staff at Justflight couldn't help however I have found a solution that works for me. If you fly IFR, load a flight plan as normal, get ATC instructions from tower and ground and then load the FMC. If I do it this way, no problems apart from that if you try to change flight plans mid flight, it will crash. Hope this helps.

Well just like the terminator, I am baaaack! Well I just about given up fly the aircraft with the wannabe mcdu. It gets me lost, can't even get me close to the ils approaches and crashes when I try to use the default gps. The aircraft flies alright with the gps without the mcdu. Now don't get me wrong, I am not expecting an mcdu like in the FeelThere/Wilco stuff but at least with less bugs/problems.

I keep flying my Just Flight A320 almost once a week for my Virtual Airline and the only purpose of the MCDU is for calculating Vspeeds. All flight plan stuff is done via default GPS. I'm currently satified but hope it would be better. I never encounter a crash if I limit the MCDU to this.

Ok, I am back. I can't get a refund because I purchased the software from my local computer store, MicroCenter and they will not accept software if it's opened only exchange if the cd/dvd is damaged. So I am out of luck. As I stated in my original email, I am sorry that the software is so poorly done because it could have filled a niche that is missing in FS software aircraft.

I too am disappointed, not so much at the product, it delivered what they promised, but its unworkable due to conflicts with FSX ATC and the flight computer. ( A318) I've had CTD problems and researched other similar issues, sent in a ticket and no response from the developers. I'll wait a bit to see if a service pack comes out to fix these, but will never purchase another product--which is sad.

Hi,
I should probably start by pointing out that this ticket was submitted on Saturday so therefore outside of normal office hours and unfair to complain about the lack of response by only Sunday afternoon. You have now had a response from the support team as the office has re-opened after the weekend. A fix is in the works and is due to be released shortly. |

Well said RAS. I too have moaned about the FMC in the A320, but I certainly would not start chasing until I had allowed a working week.
With regard to your exchange offer... very few companies would do this. Well done. johnep |

I stand corrected that indeed I was too hasty in my reply. Customer service did respond and gave the option for a refund or to wait for the service pack. I'll wait for the pack update.

Thanks Gary, much appreciated.
The fix for this problem is almost ready to go, just being given the final once-over by some testers. I'm expecting to see it out next week sometime. |
