At the bottom of the Traffic Generator Section of the TCC, there is a slider labeled "Density" which can be set from 0 to 200.  The default setting appears to be 100.  I couldn't find any information in the manual as to what the purpose of this slider is.   Does this  have some connection with the AI traffic percentage setting in FSX?   What is the function of this slider?  Thanks for info.

The easiest way to explain this is to provide an example:

Set this slider to 200% and randomly generate the traffic.  This will generate double the amount of random traffic than if you were to just leave this slider set at 100%.

How does this translate to the SIMULATOR?  Well, in the SIMULATOR, if you set your GA and Airline traffic to 100%, you will see ALL of this 200% worth of traffic ... which would be double the amount of traffic you're normally used to seeing when the Sim is set to a slider setting of 100%.  If you then decide to set your set your GA and Airline traffic to 50% in the Simulator, then you will see half of that 200% ... (in other words, 100%) ... which would effectively just be like the amount of traffic you're normally used to seeing when the Sim is set to a 100% slider setting.  So, in summary, at 100% you would be seeing 200% worth of traffic, but at 50% you would be seeing what you consider to be your normal 100% of traffic.  And so on and so forth depending on the % setting you choose for the random generation and then the subsequent traffic slider setting you choose to use in the Simulator.

In other words, that Traffic Generator slider merely allows you to generate up to DOUBLE the amount of traffic that would normally be produced with that slider left at 100%.

I find the best use of this slider is when you want to see more of one or two specific aircraft in the sim.  In this case, you UNTICK those specific aircraft to prevent them from being included in the random generation, leave that slider at 100%, and then generate traffic.  Now untick ALL of the aircraft EXCEPT the specific ones you want to see more of in the sim, set that slider to 200%, and then generate traffic.  The end result of these two separate random generations is that with your traffic sliders in the SIMULATOR set at 100%, you get normal 100% amounts of traffic for all your aircraft EXCEPT the ones you specifically wanted to see more of in the sim ... which, having randomly generated double the amount for those using the slider at 200%, you will obviously indeed see more of.

I hope all this makes sense.
